Here’s when the action based anime drops on streaming platforms

New Delhi: Having started off as a light novel in its early stages of making, Sword Art Online set a pace to be one of the highly anticipated anime series of its time, with season 1 getting showered in support and love from the fans for the series, and the anticipation held for a season 2 by captivated and enthusiastic audiences.

A military video game-based manga series written in the early stages as a light novel written by Keichi Sigsawa and illustrated by Kouhaku Kuroboshi,  The series is a spin-off of Reki Kahawara’s Sword Art Online series. The light novel started as a manga in early year 2015 and its anime adaptation aired between April and June 2018.

The second season is set to premiere this year during fall in October, fans have been highly anticipating the season’s release and all responses on the anime have been good positives.

Plot

An incident that occurred in VR MMORPG Sword Art Online, where 10,000 players were trapped in the game on launch day, has been the reason the popularity of VR games has plummeted due to fear of similar incidents or accidents happening with such a massive player base in fear of being trapped inside of the working of a game. The initial VR device for the game was destroyed and broken, in replacement of it, it’s successor, the Amusphere was released.

With such changes, VR games began regaining their lost popularity and fan base.

The story follows Karen Kohiruimaki, a university student with an insecure complexity about her abnormal height, which she believes she doesn’t fit in society because of. She begins playing a VR game called Gun Gale Online after it gives her the short, cute avatar that she has always wanted and desired to for once feel normal about herself and the way she is.
