Plot

The story of the crime documentary is based on real events. It follows the story of a Canadian teacher named Laura Letts Beckett. How she died and how her death sparked outrage in the city

Although she died in front of her  husband, her death triggered many unsolve questions, whether she died a natural death or her death was a pre-planned murder. The series consists of 3 parts and focuses on how Laura Letts Beckett died

The documentary also throws light on many unanswered questions and possibilities that could lead to her death and also on the one and only witness of her death, which is her husband.

The incident took place in the year 2008, when the Canadian teacher Laura went on a fishing trip with her husband Peter. However when the two were fishing, Laura fell into the lake and accidentally drowned in front of her husband.

Her husband Peter was a former councillor of the New Zealand city and was the sole witness to her drowning. After the incident, police investigation begins which bellieved that Laura’s death was a Pre-meditated murder.

However when the detectives questioned Peter, he admitted that it was just an accident and he had no motive to kill his wife. The cops then launched a secret investigation.

This documentary shows different versions of the family members, friends and neighbours who were in any way linked with Laura. The series is directed by Trish Neufeld.
