Australia defeated England by 49 runs under the DLS method in the last match of the 5-match ODI series. With this, Australia won the ODI series 3-2.

In the 5th ODI, when Australia's score was 165 runs losing 2 wickets in 20.4 overs, the rain came and did not stop. After this the umpires declared Australia the winner under the DLS method. When the rain came, Australia needed to score 116/2 in 20.4 overs as per DLS but they were ahead by 49 runs.

Batting first, the entire England team was all out on the score of 309 in 49.2 overs. For England, the highest score of 107 (91) came from the bat of Ben Duckett. In this innings he hit 13 fours and 2 sixes. Apart from him, captain Harry Brook played a half-century inning of 72 (52) runs. Duckett and Brook added 132 (98) runs for the third wicket.
