Afghanistan vs Bangladesh, 1st ODI: On the basis of excellent bowling by Allah Ghazanfar, Afghanistan defeated Bangladesh by 92 runs in the first ODI played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Wednesday (6 November). With this, Afghanistan has taken a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Afghanistan scored 235 runs in 49.4 overs. In which Mohammad Nabi played an inning of 84 runs in 79 balls with the help of four fours and three sixes. Whereas captain Hashmatullah Shahidi scored 52 runs in 92 balls.
For Bangladesh, Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed took 4 wickets each, Shoriful Islam took 1 wicket.
Bangladesh team, which came to chase the target, was all out for 143 runs in 34.3 overs. At one time Bangladesh's score was 132 runs for 3 wickets, but 7 wickets fell within the next 11 runs. Captain Nazmul Hussain Shanto scored 47 runs in 68 balls, Soumya Sarkar scored 33 runs in 45 balls, Mehdi Hasan Miraj scored 28 runs in 51 balls. Seven players of the team could not reach double figures.
For Afghanistan, Allah Ghazanfar took 6 wickets for 26 runs in 6.3 overs, for which he was named Player of the Match. Apart from this, Rashid Khan took 2 wickets, Mohammad Nabi and Azmatullah Omarzai took 1 wicket each.
