We are now in the second half of 2026, and just like the first six months, the remainder of the year also looks exciting for car buyers. Last week, Nissan launched one of its most important products for India, the Tekton SUV. Here is a list of six more cars that are expected to launch in the Indian market over the next six weeks.
Maruti Suzuki is set to launch the Brezza Facelift on July 23, 2026. Bookings for the updated SUV are already open. The facelift is expected to feature a revised front grille, new alloy wheels, redesigned bumpers, and updated tail lamps.
The SUV is also likely to receive a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, along with features such as ventilated seats, a head-up display (HUD), ambient lighting, a wireless phone charger, and more.
Maruti will continue to offer the Brezza with its tried-and-tested 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, paired with either a manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The company is also expected to introduce the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine for buyers looking for better performance. The underbody-mounted CNG tank will continue to be offered with the facelifted model.
Toyota recently released an official teaser for the Hilux in India, indicating that its launch is just around the corner. The company is expected to launch the pickup truck on July 28.
The Hilux is a popular choice among off-road enthusiasts worldwide. The updated pickup is based on Toyota’s revised IMV platform, which it shares with the new-generation Fortuner. It will continue to use the robust 2.8-litre diesel engine and will be equipped with a proper 4×4 drivetrain. Toyota is also working on an all-electric version of the Hilux for global markets. The diesel version is expected to be priced similarly to the outgoing model.
Honda had confirmed during the unveiling of the ZR-V that the flagship SUV would be launched and deliveries would begin in the second half of July. The ZR-V features a premium crossover-inspired design with smooth, rounded styling.
The SUV comes equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, multi-zone climate control, ventilated seats, rain-sensing wipers, hill descent control, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a hands-free powered tailgate with walk-away closing, an 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, a 4-way electrically adjustable front passenger seat, 11 airbags, Honda Sensing ADAS, a 360-degree camera, a lane-change monitor, a panoramic sunroof, and several other premium features.
Powering the ZR-V is a 2.0-litre direct-injection strong hybrid powertrain producing 184 PS and 315 Nm of torque, with a claimed fuel efficiency of 22.8 km/l.
Moving into August, Skoda is expected to launch the Slavia Facelift on August 17, according to recent reports. The updated sedan is likely to feature a revised front grille, a dotted LED light bar running through the grille, redesigned headlamps, a refreshed front bumper, updated LED tail lamps, new alloy wheels, and other cosmetic enhancements.
The cabin is expected to remain largely unchanged, with most features carried over from the current model. The 1.0-litre TSI engine is expected to be paired with a new 8-speed automatic transmission along with the existing 6-speed manual gearbox, while the 1.5-litre TSI engine will continue to be offered exclusively with the 7-speed DSG automatic.
Mahindra has built a tradition of launching or unveiling a major SUV around August 15, and this year is expected to be no different. The company could showcase the near-production version of the Vision S SUV or unveil its next Born Electric model, the BE 07. Both SUVs have already been spotted testing on Indian roads.
As far as launches are concerned, Mahindra is also expected to introduce an updated Scorpio N, featuring a revised grille, new alloy wheels, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, and Level 2 ADAS. Mechanically, it is expected to retain the existing 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine options.
MG recently unveiled its all-new ADAPT architecture for the Indian market. It is India’s first multi-NEV (New Energy Vehicle) platform, capable of supporting plug-in hybrid (PHEV), range-extender EV (REEV), pure EV, and strong hybrid powertrains.
The Hector Hawk EV is expected to be the first all-electric model based on this architecture to arrive in India and is likely to be launched in August. It is based on the Wuling Starlight EV, which has already been spotted testing in India.
The electric SUV is expected to come loaded with features such as a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, leatherette upholstery, a wireless phone charger, cruise control, automatic climate control, a 360-degree camera, and more.
Internationally, the SUV is available with a 56.7 kWh battery pack powering a front-mounted electric motor. MG is expected to equip the India-spec model with its new MAGIC battery, which has been developed to offer high energy density, strong performance, a long service life, and enhanced safety.
The electric motor is expected to produce around 134-136 bhp and 200 Nm of torque. Under real-world driving conditions, the Hector Hawk EV is expected to deliver a driving range of approximately 450-500 km on a full charge.
