60 Air India flights to America canceled, company spokesperson told the reason
New Delhi: Due to the unavailability of about 60 aircraft of Tata Group-owned Air India from India to the US, flights had to be canceled. Air India sources said that (November-December) is the peak time for travel to America. At peak travel times we encountered delays in returning planes due to maintenance problems. Due to which flights were cancelled.
These flights include flights to San Francisco and Chicago. However, the Air India source did not name the destinations of the flights canceled by the company.

60 Air India flights canceled
Sources say that Air India has canceled about 60 flights to San Francisco, Washington, Chicago, New York between November 15 and December 31. Apart from this, airlines have canceled 14 flights on Delhi-Chicago route, 28 flights on Delhi-Washington route, 12 flights on Delhi-San Francisco, four flights on Mumbai-New York and two flights on Delhi-New York route. Let us tell you that all the canceled flights of Air India are from major cities of America.
Air India offered refund to affected passengers
An Air India spokesperson said that there was a shortage of aircraft due to some aircraft returning late for maintenance. We did not have planes to send passengers to America. The spokesperson has expressed grief over the inconvenience caused to the passengers. The spokesperson said that the affected passengers have been offered to switch to other Air India flights, change their flight to another day or get a refund. Passengers can choose the option as per their convenience.

Information about foreign flights
Currently Air India operates five flights on the Delhi-Washington route. While Delhi-John F. Kennedy (New York) and Mumbai-John F. There are seven flights a week on the Kennedy route. Air India operates flights to San Francisco from Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.
