6000 ticket now reaches 72,000! Patna to Delhi-Bengaluru flight out of reach of common man, seats also house full

New Delhi: Air travel from Patna and surrounding cities is proving expensive for passengers this winter. Usually, air fares increase on big festivals like Diwali and Chhath, but this time the air fares are continuously high even in December and January. According to travel experts, the demand for tickets has increased unusually due to preparations for the wedding season in December and holidays in January.

Seats are filling up rapidly in flights from Patna to Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and hill stations. Air fares have increased from double to four times, due to which common passengers are facing difficulties.

Rent increased due to wedding season

Due to marriages and celebrations, airfares from Patna to Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and other big cities have increased four times. For example, on December 4, Patna-Delhi ticket is being sold from Rs 20,873 to Rs 72,285. Due to dedication on December 7, the ticket price increased from Rs 9,723 to Rs 25,000. On normal days this route costs around Rs 6,000.

The fares for Mumbai and Bengaluru have also increased by four to five times. There are 16 daily flights available between Patna-Delhi, 5 flights between Patna-Mumbai and 7 flights between Patna-Bengaluru.

Ticket rates on Christmas and New Year

During Christmas and New Year holidays, people are planning to travel to hill stations and tourist places. There is huge demand for tickets on the routes of Goa, Kerala, Uttarakhand, Himachal and Jammu and Kashmir. Tourist places like Andaman-Nicobar, Rann of Kutch, Manali, Dharamshala, Shimla, Mussoorie, Gangtok and Darjeeling are also in the choice of travelers for winter holidays.

The airfare from Patna to Kochi has doubled compared to normal days. On December 4, tickets are being sold from Rs 19,000 to Rs 50,870. Apart from this, the fare from Patna to Dehradun has also increased significantly. Further increase in prices is seen on weekends.

Travel experts say that delay in booking air tickets at this time can prove costly. The demand for tickets is very high due to the wedding season in December and holidays in January. Passengers are advised to book tickets as soon as possible if they want to travel to hill stations or big cities.
