At the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, D Klerk batted brilliantly and scored an unbeaten 63 to snatch victory from the jaws of defending champions Mumbai Indians and entertained the cricket fans with her brilliant performance.

In the last over of the match, with RCB Women needing 18 runs to win, De Klerk attacked Nate Syver-Brunt. She didn’t get a run in the first two balls, but then came on fire with the next fours. She hit a six straight down the third ball, then hit a boundary through long leg. She hit a powerful shot off the second last ball, which went to the cow corner for a six. Syver-Brunt attempted a yorker off the last ball, but the South African came down and sent it over the bowler’s head for four runs to seal victory.

Nadine de Klerk is a South African female cricketer, known as a versatile all-rounder who specializes in batting finish and medium pace bowling. She was born in 1999 in Pretoria. She initially pursued a career in sports such as hockey and javelin, but committed to cricket at the age of 17.

Nadine de Klerk made her ODI debut against India during the South Africa quadrilateral series in May 2017 and made her T20 International debut in February 2018. Significant achievements include leading South Africa’s emerging players team in 2019, playing in the 2020 and 2024 T20 World Cups, participating in the 2022 Commonwealth Games and contributing to South Africa’s finals in the 2024 T20 World Cup and 2025 ODI World Cup. She signed with The Blaze for the 2023 England domestic season.
