6G in India: Will be launched by 2030, know whether data will be as cheap as 4G and 5G…

6G in India: India is preparing to launch 6G service by 2030. At the India Mobile Congress, Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that such regulations and standards are being made for 6G service in India so that it is affordable and accessible to everyone. He stressed on extending this service to all citizens and ensuring cyber security.

6G preparation and research

The Center for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), working under the Ministry of Communications, has already started research on 6G technology.

In the 6G Innovation Lab, work is being done on technologies like Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS), which will enable better connectivity even in hilly and inaccessible areas.

India's 6G service aims to provide extremely fast internet speeds and high-quality connectivity.

Emphasis on cyber security and accessible service

Minister Scindia said that 6G will be successful only when it is made affordable for all people. Along with this, strong arrangements will also be made for cyber security of the users.

India aims for 5G progress and 6G leadership

5G service in India was launched in 2022 and is now available in 98% of cities. More than 13 crore users are using 5G.

While many countries launched 5G services in 2019-20, India now wants to establish global leadership in 6G technology.
India has signed an agreement with Europe's 6G Smart Network and Service Industry Association for the development of 6G.

India aims to play a leading role in the telecom sector in the world by launching 6G service by 2030. India is planning to develop its domestic technology and sell it in the global market, so that the country can be established as a technology hub. If 6G services remain affordable and accessible, it will not only drive the internet revolution in the country but will also have an impact in many parts of the world.
