7 crore devotees took a dip in Triveni Sangam in four days, temperature dropped in many states including UP-Bihar

New Delhi: Devotees continue to arrive at Triveni Sangam to participate in Mahakumbh 2025, the world's largest religious gathering. In the first four days of the 45-day Maha Kumbh 2025, over 7 crore devotees took the holy dip at the Triveni Sangam – the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna and the 'mysterious' Saraswati rivers. The weather has surprised people in Bihar and UP also. According to the Meteorological Department, a drop of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius may be recorded in the minimum temperature of the state in the next three days.

1. Crores of devotees took a dip

Maha Kumbh Mela is in full swing in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Prayagraj Fair Authority has set a target of making a world record in Mahakumbh 2025, but the supernatural beauty of the Sangam is such that a world record is in the making. From January 11, the splendor of Maha Kumbh Mela has started appearing in Sangam city. From there till January 17, in the seven days of the fair, more than 7.25 crore devotees have taken a dip of faith in the holy triveni of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. Let us tell you that there are a lot of arrangements regarding security here and a large number of devotees are arriving.

2. Cold increased in these states

The weather patterns will change once again in the country. People across North India are facing the triple blow of severe cold as well as dense fog and cold wave. There was dense fog in Delhi on Friday morning. There has been a change in the weather of many states including UP-Bihar. Visibility has become zero in some cities due to dense fog. People in UP-Bihar are also suffering from cold. According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature of the state may drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in the next three days. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of cloud movement and rain in the northern states from January 18 to 21 due to the effect of western disturbance. Sporadic rain may be seen in many other states. Heavy to very heavy rain is expected in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
