Volkswagen SUV 2026: After a long wait, the German company finally enters the Indian auto market. volkswagen has launched its premium 7-seater SUV Volkswagen Tayron R-Line. Its ex-showroom price has been kept at ₹ 46.99 lakh. Through this model, the company has entered the three-row SUV segment of India, where there is already tough competition. Powerful engine and performance

The Volkswagen Tayron R-Line will be assembled in India and is based on the MQB EVO platform. It has a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine, which generates 204 hp power and 320 Nm torque.

The SUV includes a 7-speed DSG gearbox and 4MOTION all-wheel drive system, which gives it a strong grip on all types of roads. The company claims that this SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds and its top speed is 224 km/h.

Premium German designed exterior

Tayron R-Line has been introduced with a completely new design. It has IQ Light HD matrix headlights, R-Line design elements and 19-inch stylish alloy wheels. The brand logo on both the front and back further strengthens its identity. The company says that this SUV is a great example of premium German design.

Special attention has been paid to both modernity and comfort in the interior of this SUV. The large cabin layout, panoramic sunroof and ergonomic front seating make it attractive as a family car. A large 15-inch infotainment touchscreen, 10.25-inch digital cockpit and AR head-up display are provided on the dashboard. The front seats get 12-way electric adjustment with memory function, ventilation, massage and lumbar support. Ambient lighting with 30 color options and illuminated R inserts give it a premium feel.
