8 new medical colleges will open in Bihar! Good news to these districts

Patna. Taking a major initiative towards improving health services in Bihar, the state government has planned to open eight new medical colleges. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary recently gave information about this in a program and said that the aim of the government is to establish a medical college and hospital in every district, so that common people do not have to go to big cities or other states for better treatment.

He said that under this scheme, Mahabodhi Medical College and Hospital has been inaugurated in Gaya. This institute will become a source of relief for lakhs of people not only in Gaya district but also in the surrounding districts. The Deputy Chief Minister described this as an example of the state government’s commitment and fast decision-making ability.

Samrat Chaudhary also mentioned the old condition of the health system of Bihar. He said that many medical colleges were opened in the state between 1925 and 1989, but new medical colleges could not be established between 1989 and 2008. For this reason people had to go outside the state for better treatment. Now this problem is ending with the improvement in health services of the state.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, special attention has been given to the health sector along with good governance. At present, medical colleges are being established rapidly in government and private sectors. There are plans to open eight new medical colleges in the coming three years, which will increase the reach and strength of health services in Bihar.

Mahabodhi Medical College and Hospital, Gaya is a state-of-the-art institution with a capacity of 650 beds. Experienced doctors, nurses and paramedical staff are deployed here, so that patients can get quality treatment 24 hours a day. Moreover, this college has got recognition for 100 MBBS seats and enrollment of students has also been completed. With this, the youth of Bihar will not need to go to other states for medical studies.
