8 special flights of SpiceJet will fly from UAE today, 300 Indians stranded in Kuwait hotel
Amidst the increasing tension in West Asia, SpiceJet has intensified the operation of special flights to safely bring back Indian citizens stranded in Gulf countries (Gulf Crisis). airline has announced that 8 special flights will be operated from United Arab Emirates (UAE) to India on March 4.
According to the information, these flights will leave from Fujairah in UAE for major cities of India. These include 4 special flights to Delhi, 4 flights to Mumbai and one flight to Kochi. Earlier on March 3 also, SpiceJet had operated 4 special flights. The airline also said that regular flight services between Fujairah-Delhi and Fujairah-Mumbai will also be restored from March 4.
In fact, due to the increasing military tension between America, Israel and Iran, flight operations in many airspaces of West Asia have been affected (Gulf Crisis). Due to this, many Indian citizens are stuck in different countries and special arrangements are being made to bring them back.
Meanwhile, about 300 Indian citizens are also said to be stranded in Kuwait. All of them are currently staying in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Kuwait. According to the passengers present there, the situation is gradually becoming serious and they have not been able to get adequate assistance till now.
Kalpesh Sanjay Rathi, an Indian citizen trapped in the hotel, said that till now no concrete help has been received from the hotel management and the local administration. Most of the stranded people are travelers from Maharashtra, who had reached Kuwait for work or transit.
These passengers have appealed to the Government of India and the Indian Embassy in Kuwait to quickly intervene and bring them back home safely (Gulf Crisis). The Indian Embassy and related agencies are monitoring the situation and efforts are on for the safe return of the passengers.
