80 slums burnt down in Bindapur, Delhi, fire brigade brought the fire under control after hard work.

New Delhi, March 12. A sudden fire broke out in Mansaram Park area of Bindapur police station area of Delhi late on Wednesday night, causing chaos in the area. But the police and fire department reached the spot and quickly controlled the fire. According to the information, on 11 March 2026 at 11:57 pm, PS Bindapur received a PCR call that there was a massive fire in the slums of Mansaram Park.

As soon as the information was received, the police immediately reached the spot. And after evacuating the people living there safely, they called the fire brigade. About 28 fire tenders reached the spot and the fire was brought under control by 3 pm. The matter of relief was that there was no news of any casualty in this arson. However, about 80 slums were burnt to ashes in this fire.

This is not the first case. A few days ago, on March 7, 2026, a fire was also reported in Mansaram Park. At that time 8 fire tenders were sent to the spot and the fire was quickly extinguished. There was no loss of life in that incident either. At that time a case was registered in PS Bindapur under FIR No. 155/26, Section 326(F) BNS.

According to the information of the Revenue Department, this is private land, but there is a dispute over its ownership. Earlier too, complaints had been received about dumping garbage and setting fire at this place. For this, a garbage removal campaign was scheduled by DM Kapeshera on March 7, 2026, but it had to be postponed due to logistics problems.

This time too the real cause of the fire is not yet clear. The district administration has said that soon a drive to remove debris will be started in this area with the help of MCD. Dwarka DCP Kushal Pal Singh says that the police and fire department team took immediate action and brought the fire under control. Right now the situation is under control. Only after investigation will the true reasons behind the fire be known.
