85 planes again received bomb threat: 20-20 flights of Air India, Vistara, Indigo
85 flights in the country have received bomb threats simultaneously, which includes 20 Air India, 20 Indigo, 20 Vistara and 25 Akasa flights. After receiving the threat, planes have been ordered to make emergency landing, some flights have been diverted, and security agencies have also started investigating the matter. Due to the threat, there is panic among the passengers and people are shying away from air travel. Air business is also suffering a lot due to the threat.

Earlier, Delhi Police has registered eight separate FIRs in the last eight days, in which it has been told about the threat of bomb blast. These flights include Akasa, Air India, IndiGo and Vistara, which fly from Delhi to various domestic and foreign destinations. Police said that these cases are being investigated.
A senior police officer said that threatening messages were received on X, which were later rejected by the authorities. The first case was related to the targeting of Bengaluru-bound Akasa flight on October 16, in which more than 180 people were on board. The plane had to return to Delhi. The next day, police wrote a letter to social media platform X seeking information about the account that posted the threatening messages.

In the last 11 days alone, more than 255 planes have received bomb threats, causing a loss of more than Rs 600 crore to the aviation sector.
Various teams of Cyber Cell of Delhi Police are monitoring the activities on flights regarding the ongoing threats on X and other social media platforms. In less than a week, more than 170 flights have received bomb threats. Meanwhile, the government is planning legislative action to tackle bomb threats to airlines, including putting perpetrators on a no-fly list.
When a flight receives information about a bomb, it is landed at a nearby airport instead of its scheduled airport, which consumes more fuel, requires re-checking the aircraft, accommodates passengers in hotels and takes them to their destination. , which costs approximately Rs 3 crore.
