Material:
Take 200 grams of millet grains, 150 grams of moong dal, two tablespoons of desi ghee, a pinch of asafoetida, half a teaspoon of cumin, a little chopped green chilli, half a teaspoon of turmeric, a bowl of green peas, salt as per taste.
Method :
First of all, clean the millet and grind it and remove its husk. After this, put ghee in the cooker and heat it, then add asafoetida and cumin. Also add green chilli, turmeric powder and peas and fry for two minutes. Now add washed lentils and cleaned and crushed millet to it. After frying the khichdi by stirring it with a spoon for 2-3 minutes, add four times the amount of water of millet and pulses. Switch off the cooker after one or two whistles. Garnish with green coriander and eat hot.
