Central employees having fun! Government’s big step regarding 8th Pay Commission, salary increase will be approved in this meeting

8th Pay Commission Latest Update: Central employees are waiting for the recommendations of the Eighth Pay Commission. The Pay Commission was constituted in November last year and it will submit its recommendations to the government within 18 months. Before this, demand lists are being submitted to the Pay Commission by different employees’ organizations. In this series, the drafting committee of National Council (Joint Consultative Machinery), NC-JCM, the main body of organizations of central government employees and pensioners, will also hold an important meeting and present its views before the Pay Commission.

Preparations are on to submit the memorandum to the Pay Commission in the meeting. It is noteworthy that the deadline for submitting the memorandum to the central employees or pay commission stakeholders has been fixed as April 30, 2026.

Drafting committee meeting on 13 April

The drafting committee meeting will be held on 13 April 2026. In this meeting the final memorandum will be discussed, which is to be sent to the 8th Pay Commission. Let us tell you that the government has not yet announced the date of salary increase under the 8th Pay Commission. In a letter to the drafting committee members, NC-JCM secretary Shiv Gopal Mishra said, “We inform you that the ‘staff side’ The next meeting of the Drafting Committee members for the 8th CPC to prepare the memorandum will be held on April 13, 2026. This meeting will be held at 11 am, in JP Choubey Memorial Library (AIRF Office Complex).

Many important issues discussed in the meeting

This meeting of 13 April is the next phase of the meeting held on 12 March 2026. In the meeting, all the members of the drafting committee of NC-JCM came together, employees and pensioners met to discuss preparing a common memorandum on behalf of all the organizations. The committee members are discussing issues related to salaries, pensions, allowances and other job related conditions of employees and pensioners. This is part of the process of preparing a common memorandum, which will be sent to the 8th Pay Commission.

Last date for submission of memorandum
