On May 4, the Commission headed by Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai held talks with many organizations related to employee-pensioners. According to media reports, members of Maharashtra State Old Pension Organization attended the meeting along with Commission Chairperson Justice Desai, Member Secretary Pankaj Jain and some other members of the organization.

Many suggestions given in the meeting
According to media reports, in the meeting of the 8th Pay Commission, minimum basic salary, pension, fitment factor as well as many other issues including HRA, TA, gratuity were discussed and many suggestions were given. Not only this, there were many talks on 3.8 fitment factor, 5 family unit formula, minimum wage of Rs 65,000, increase in HRA rates and removing HRA anomalies. Not only this, along with this, increasing gratuity, pension reform, restoration of special salary increment were also discussed in the meeting. It is believed that a total of 16 issues were discussed in the meeting.
What things were in demand?
According to the information received, in the meeting a demand was made to increase the current minimum wage from Rs 18,000 to Rs 65,000. Along with this, a demand has been made to keep the minimum salary of the employees at Rs 65,000. Apart from this, in the context of 8th Pay Commission, there has been a demand to increase the fitment factor to 3.8. In the 7th Pay Commission it was only 2.57. Apart from this, many demands have been made from the Commission. Discussion regarding all this is still going on.
