Many employees believe that after the tenure of the 7th Pay Commission ended, the new pay structure should have come into effect automatically. However, the reality is different and the employees are still waiting for the official announcement.
What is the confusion regarding 8th Pay Commission?
Usually the central government constitutes a new pay commission every 10 years. The 7th Pay Commission was implemented from 1 January 2016. On the basis of this tradition, the employees believe that the 8th Pay Commission should become effective from January 1, 2026. But the thing to note is that this is only an estimate; No official seal has been given on this yet by the government.
The real reason for delay in salary
The question in the minds of employees is that 7th pay commission Why was there no increase in salary despite completion of tenure? The process behind this is quite complex:
- Constitution of the Commission: First of all the government has to constitute a commission.
- in-depth study: This commission closely studies all aspects of salary, allowances and pension.
- Handing out recommendations: After the study, the commission submits its recommendations to the government.
- Review and Approval: Finally, the government reviews these recommendations and then they are approved.
This entire process is manual and takes a lot of time. This is the main reason why even after the tenure of the 7th Pay Commission has passed, there has not been an automatic increase in the salary.
