‘90% agreement on peace plan, but…’ Unresolved aspects of Trump-Zelensky talks
The recent conversation between former US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has made headlines in the global media. According to sources, both the leaders have expressed about 90% agreement on the peace plan regarding the Ukraine-Russia conflict. Despite this, there are many complex and unresolved issues, which may challenge the implementation process of the plan.
Experts believe that the purpose of the Trump-Zelensky meeting was not only to increase diplomatic dialogue, but also to test the possibilities of bringing the conflict on the path of peace. Both sides have agreed in principle on many important points, such as the ceasefire framework, expansion of humanitarian assistance and basic regional security.
But political analysts say that the 90% consensus figure is only a preliminary level. The remaining 10% represents complex issues that include border controls, arms control, and internal political pressures. Without resolving these issues, full implementation of the peace plan appears difficult.
Apart from this, some countries have also expressed their views regarding this conversation at the global level. The European Union and the United Nations are keeping an eye on this negotiation, as it could impact not only the Ukraine-Russia conflict, but also international security and energy supplies.
Experts say that for the peace plan, it is necessary that there should be regular communication, trust building and transparency between the leaders of the two countries. Merely showing agreement without a clear roadmap will not be enough. This is why despite 90% agreement, the remaining issues still remain unresolved.
The talks between Trump and Zelensky have sent a positive signal that both sides are ready for a ceasefire and to protect humanity. But it is also clear that the greatest challenge will be to balance diplomatic efforts with geopolitical strategies, security concerns and domestic political pressure.
Looking at this entire process, experts believe that it may take time to finalize the peace plan. Also, active participation and monitoring of the international community can play an important role in making this plan successful.
