Latest News :- Shyamala Rao, administrative officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthan, said that they have decided to form a new committee to examine and procure the ghee used in making laddus. Shyamala Rao, administrative officer of the Devasthanams at Tirumala, told the press yesterday: Based on recent complaints about the quality of Tirupati Lattu, an inquiry was first conducted with the staff at Mathapalli, which prepares it. Then he said that if the quality of laddus has to be good then first of all the quality of ghee should be good.

Our own investigation revealed that the ghee was of poor quality. Devasthanam does not have its own laboratory to know the quality of ghee completely. Therefore, in the previous system, ghee was not tested through 5 companies. Ghee per kg Rs. Through tender, Rs 320 to 411 were fixed and offered to the Devasthanam. I thought that such quality ghee could be made available at such a low price. It was only after we warned about this that companies raised standards. Premier Agrifoods, Kriparam Dairy, Vaishnavi, Shree Barak Milk, Dindigul AR Food Dairy Company used to supply ghee to us.

We collected samples from 2 tankers of ghee sent by Dindigul AR Food Dairy on July 6 and 10 and sent them to a reputed testing center in Gujarat.
