Senior BJP leader and Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari addressed the felicitation ceremony of Rajasthan Governor Haribhav Bhagde. He had then said, “The problem in politics is not having different opinions. Rather there is a lack of thinking. Social service, nation building and development is politics. But now the definition of politics has been changed to power politics.
Earlier, while working as an RSS worker, we faced many obstacles. There was no recognition and respect then. I worked as a traveling party worker in Vidarbha for 20 years. People pelted stones at rallies organized after the declaration of emergency. People burnt the auto rickshaws from which I used to make announcements.
Now thousands of people come to listen to me. But this fame is not mine. This was achieved by people like Haripav Bagde who worked hard risking their lives. Haripav was a dedicated worker for the welfare of the fugitive people. A good party member is one who behaves well even if he gets nothing in the party. People who get something naturally behave well,” Nitin Gadkari said.
