Latest News :- National Conference President Farooq Abdullah has said that even if it is not necessary to form the government in Jammu and Kashmir, we will accept the support of the People's Democratic Party. He was reacting to reports that Mehbooba Mufti's People's Democratic Party would support the Congress-National Conference alliance.

As post-poll surveys in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir predict victory for the Congress-National Conference alliance, an elated former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir has said that all parties should come together to save Jammu and Kashmir. Must come together. Speaking to a news agency, Farooq Abdullah said, “We will take their (PDP) support, even if it is not necessary.” Because we have to move forward. We have to do this together. We all will have to work together to save this state. The state is in great trouble.

I express my gratitude towards him. We all will together try to build this state. I haven't talked to him yet. I only read in magazines. I am not excited by the results after the third election. Because they may be right or wrong. The truth will come out only when the voting machines open and the votes are counted. Our alliance (Congress-NCP) will form a stable government in Jammu and Kashmir. This is what we are waiting for,” Farooq Abdullah said.

Earlier, surveys released after the three-phase elections for 90 assembly constituencies in Kashmir had predicted that Congress would form a coalition government in Kashmir. A survey conducted by leading Hindi daily Tainik Bhaskar has predicted a hung assembly in Kashmir. Congress alliance can get up to 40 seats in Kashmir. Mehbooba Mufti's People's Democratic Party may get up to 7 seats. So there is a possibility that Megabooba will become the ‘king maker’.”

Counting of Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections will take place in three phases on September 18, September 25 and October 1, while Haryana Assembly elections, which concluded on October 5, will take place tomorrow (October 8). Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana, which have 90 constituencies each, need the support of 46 MLAs to form the government.
