25 people died due to drinking spurious liquor in Bihar, Priyanka Gandhi targeted Nitish Kumar government

In this case, many people of Madar village under Bhagwanpur police limits of Siwan district had consumed liquor sold in the area last Tuesday. After this, they went home with headache, vision loss, vomiting and stomach pain. Later he was admitted to a hospital in Siwan.

Similarly, in Ibrahimpur village of Saran district, many people fell ill after drinking spurious liquor and were admitted to the hospital. However, the death toll in these two incidents rose to 25 yesterday. Police Director Alok Raj said, “Another person died due to spurious liquor in Charan district. With this, the death toll in both the incidents has increased to 25. He said we have arrested 12 people so far in connection with these incidents.

Saran District Superintendent of Police Kumar Ashish said that industrial chemicals have been mixed in the liquor. We are investigating how he got this chemical. The patrolling police of that area have been suspended in connection with this incident. Financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh: The matter is being investigated by the police station. If his reply is not satisfactory then action will be taken against him. A special investigation team has been formed to investigate the incident. He said raids have been conducted at 250 places in Saran district and 1,650 liters of liquor has been destroyed.

Saran District Magistrate Aman Sameer said that after the post mortem report of those who died in the incident comes, their families will be given financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar conducted a high-level inquiry into the incidents. He has ordered the Secretary of the Prohibition Department to visit the spot and conduct a thorough investigation. Priyanka condemned: Regarding the death of liquor smugglers in Bihar, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi wrote in a post published on 'X' website, despite the prohibition in Bihar, the sale of illegal liquor is going on in full swing. This causes casualties every day. The government should end it, he said.
