Latest News :- Navy Captain Mridul Shah (53) is a resident of Nainital, Uttarakhand. His parents rented a house to Air Force Captain Harpal Singh in 1966 for Rs 100. After the death of Harpal Singh, his wife and daughter (Neelam Singh) continued to live there. After the death of her mother, Neelam Singh has become a tenant. However, he is paying only Rs 100 as fare.

Meanwhile, Mridul Shah owns his parents' house. In 2016, Mridul Shah asked Neelam Singh to vacate the house because he needed it. On refusing this, Mridul Shah filed a case in the local court. In 2017, the court heard this and ordered to hand over Shah's house. Neelam Singh Nainital has filed an appeal in the Sessions Court against this decision.

During the investigation, the lawyer appearing for Mridul Shah said, “Mridul Shah is often transferred. Therefore, the tenant living in that house should be ordered to vacate the house because he wants to keep his family in his house,” he argued. Hearing this, Justice Subir Kumar upheld the decision given by the lower court. Apart from this, Neelam Singh ordered to vacate the house immediately. They warned that if he did not vacate he would face eviction. The result was that Neelam Singh had to vacate the house after 58 years.
