Andhra Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the Drone Conference in Amaravati yesterday and said: In 1995 when I was the Chief Minister, I made efforts to develop the IT sector in Hyderabad. In those days I established a hi-tech city there. I went to America and stayed there for 15 days, met many representatives and sowed the seeds for the development of Hyderabad city.

It is heartening to note that Hyderabad is currently emerging as the most liveable city in the world. I am also proud that 30 percent of the people working in the IT sector abroad are Telugu. Now the real asset is not money but data (information). Why is data so important for industries, companies and a country in the future? There is no doubt that combining AI technology with data will work wonders.

During the recent floods in Vijayawada, food was distributed to many people through drones. Where is the flood? We learned about the details of the flood water, people, animals and vehicles trapped in the flood through the drone and immediately the rescue operation was carried out by the disaster rescue team. We are also using drones in agriculture and infrastructure. The works are amazing. Drones can also be used to improve traffic in cities. In future, drones can also be used in medical services. Even patients who are unable to leave their homes can be treated with drones.

Some countries also use drones in wars. But we will use it for the development work of the country and the state. We will use it to maintain law and order. We will soon use drones in the police department. We can detect and control the activities of attackers through drones. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said this.

5,500 drone adventure: Next up was an adventurous event where 5,500 drones were flown into the sky on the banks of river Krishna in Vijayawada yesterday evening. Various drones manufactured by many companies participated in it. A laser show was also organised. Union Minister Rammohan Naidu, Andhra Pradesh Ministers, MPs, MLAs, government officials, District Collectors, public and others participated and enjoyed the drone show.
