Latest News :- The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCPA) has strongly opposed the changes made to the statue and symbol of justice. The association also alleged that no feedback was sought regarding this change. Recently, a six-feet tall statue of Nyaya Devi was unveiled in the judges' library in the Supreme Court. Many changes have been made in the new statue as compared to the old statue.

Notably, whereas the eyes of the old Angel of Justice were covered with a cloth, the eyes of the new statue are not covered with a cloth. In the new statue, instead of scales in one hand and sword in the other hand, the book of the Constitution is shown. The new statue was designed to look like a man dressed in white with a crown on his head.

In such a situation, the Supreme Court Advocates Association has expressed strong protest against this reversal of the statue of justice. SCPA President Kapil Sibal and members of the Executive Committee unanimously passed a resolution in this regard: It has been brought to the notice of the Executive Committee of Supreme Court Lawyers that the Supreme Court has taken unilateral action and made changes in the statue and emblem .

Goddess of justice. We are partners in the administration of justice. But when these changes were proposed, we did not pay attention to them. Also, the reason behind this change has not been known. Similarly, the SCPA unanimously opposes the move to build a museum at the site where we had requested to build a canteen for the Bar Association. This has been said in the resolution.
