It has been told that the condition of some of them is critical. Anjuthambalam Veerikavu Temple is located near Kasaragod, Kerala. Every year this temple festival is organized with great pomp. Under this, this year's festival has started there. On the occasion of the festival, firecrackers were kept in a warehouse near the temple. Thousands of people came to see the temple festival.
In such a situation, the firecrackers kept in the warehouse caught fire. It has been told that the spark from the firecrackers may have caused the fire by falling on the firecrackers kept in the warehouse. Due to this, more than 150 people who came to watch the festival were injured. 97 people were admitted to the hospital in the accident. This has been confirmed by Kasargod District Collector Infashekhar. Of these, 8 people suffered 80 percent burns. He is being treated in the intensive care unit.
Preliminary investigation revealed that there was a gap of only two to three feet between the place where the crackers were burst and the warehouse where the crackers were kept. Police are investigating the accident. Two people have been arrested in connection with the accident. The temple festival has been temporarily suspended after the accident.
