Latest News :- Prime Minister Narendra Modi yesterday launched the Ayushman Bharat scheme to provide free treatment to senior citizens above 70 years of age. A government welfare program was organized in Delhi yesterday on the occasion of 9th Ayurveda Day and birthday of Lord Dhanvantari, the god of medicine. Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in it and launched health welfare schemes worth Rs 12,850 crore in 18 states including Tamil Nadu. Notably, he launched the Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance Scheme which provides free treatment to senior citizens above 70 years of age. According to this, all senior citizens above 70 years of age can get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. 6 crore senior citizens will benefit from the new scheme.
Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Modi said that Ayurveda Day is celebrated in more than 150 countries across the world. Today various health programs have been started in 18 states across the country. The BJP manifesto promises free medical treatment to senior citizens above 70 years of age. Now we are fulfilling that promise. Free medical insurance scheme has been launched for people above 70 years of age across the country. Separate insurance cards will be issued for them. All senior citizens can benefit from Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance Scheme. Union territories Delhi and West Bengal have not joined the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Due to this, senior citizens of Delhi and West Bengal are not able to get the benefits of this scheme. We are very sorry about this.
More than 7.5 lakh Ayurvedic doctors are providing services across the country. Foreign people come to India in large numbers for Ayurvedic treatment. Organic farming and cultivation of herbal plants are being promoted under Namami Ganga Project. Traditional medical information recorded in leaf prints and Chepads in different parts of the country will be integrated through artificial intelligence. This will bring a big revolution in the health sector. The Prime Minister said this.
Drone medical service in Amaravati: Prime Minister Modi launched drone service at AIIMS hospital in Andhra via video yesterday. According to this, the drone was sent to Nuthaka Primary Health Centre, a village about 12 km away from AIIMS Hospital. A blood sample obtained from a female patient was placed on the drone. After this the drone reached AIIMS Hospital. Doctors told that this drone facility will be started in all hospitals.
