Latest News :- India has issued summons to the country's high embassy official regarding the allegations made by Canada against Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Rantir Jaiswal said, “Yesterday, we called Canada's high diplomatic officer and delivered a diplomatic note regarding the incidents that occurred at the Public Safety and National Security Standing Committee of Canada on October 29. In that note, Canada's Deputy Foreign Minister “strongly condemns the absurd and baseless allegations made against Indian Home Minister Amit Shah before the India Standing Committee, saying such irresponsible actions will have serious consequences for bilateral relations.”

Earlier, Canada's Deputy Foreign Minister David Morrison had told the Washington Post that Indian Home Minister Amit Shah's orders were responsible for targeting Sikh separatists in Canada. The US Washington Post, which recently reported on the issue, said that 'a senior official in India' had authorized attacks on Sikh separatists in Canada and that Canadian security agencies had collected evidence about it. When asked who the senior official was, the newspaper later said it was Amit Shah.

After this, Canadian Foreign Minister David Morasin said that it was Amit Shahdan who had informed the Washington Post that permission has been given to attack Sikh separatists in Canada. Crackdown in India-Canada ties: Earlier, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had claimed that there were credible allegations that the Narendra Modi government had helped in the killing of Khalistan separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada last year. This issue created a big rift in the relationship between both the parties. India recalled 41 Canadian diplomats after Justin Trudeau's allegations. It is noteworthy that the Canadian ambassadors were ordered to leave India.
