Latest News :- The new Chairman of the Trustee Board has reacted to Owaisi's comment in which he had said that the Waqf Board should not be compared with Tirupati Devasthanams. Hyderabad MP and AIM President Asaduddin Owaisi had said last week, “The present Modi government has imposed some new conditions in the Waqf Board Amendment Act. According to this, two non-Muslims should be appointed to the Waqf Board. I will not accept it.” Because all the 25 people in the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam group are Hindus and not people from other religions.
In such a situation, how can the inclusion of only Hindus in the terminology be justified? Why the insistence on appointing only Hindus in Waqf Board? He asked question. For this, the new Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, B.R. Naidu replied, “Vakpu Board should not be compared with Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. Waqf Board is mainly concerned with the administration of land. Tirupati Devasthanam is under one religion Sanatana Dharma. These two are not the same.
Devotees have been insisting for many years that no non-Hindus should work at the Tirupati Devasthanams. Sanatan Dharma also does not allow people from other religions to work in Tirupati Devasthanams. Therefore, this matter will be discussed in the first meeting of the Board of Trustees of Tirupati Devasthanams. He said that the final decision will be taken in consultation with the Central Government on whether non-religious employees should be removed from temple work and made to work in hospitals, schools, colleges or given compulsory retirement.
