Latest News :- The Supreme Court has given its verdict in a case related to the incidents of demolition of buildings by bulldozers in Uttar Pradesh. In this, demolishing the houses of the accused is unconstitutional. Guidelines have also been issued that while demolishing encroached buildings, 15 days notice should be given. In many states including BJP ruled Uttar Pradesh, bulldozers are being run on the houses of accused or criminals. Cases were filed against this in the Supreme Court by various parties. The Supreme Court was investigating in this regard. In such a situation, yesterday the Supreme Court expressed various views against the bulldozer action. It also issued a comprehensive decision with guidelines applicable across the country.

Accordingly, the judgment delivered by the bench of Justices PR Kawai and KV Vishwanathan stated that: When the house of the accused is demolished without proper notification, his family will suffer and they will demand compensation for the same. Home is everyone's dream. It should not be destroyed. Existing laws should protect people in case of law and order problems.

Government permission required: Demolition of encroached buildings should be done only after giving 15 days prior notice to the concerned. If they fail to respond to the notice, the house will have to be demolished with the permission of the state government. Administrators cannot become judges declaring an accused guilty and ordering the demolition of his house. Demolishing the houses of accused or convicted persons is completely unconstitutional.

Not happy to see: The accused or criminals have been given certain rights and protections under the Constitution. Similarly under criminal law. It is not a joy to see women and children coming out on the streets all night long. The entire process of demolishing the house should be videographed. An average man builds a house after years of hard work. This is his dream, his aspirations. Builds security and the future. If this is taken away from them then it is nothing more than satisfying the authorities. This has been said in the decision of the Supreme Court.
