Pant has become the fourth wicket-keeper batsman from India to score 2500 or more runs in Test cricket. With 4876 runs, MS Dhoni is at number one in terms of scoring the most Test runs as a wicketkeeper for India. After this, Syed Kirmani is at second place with 2759 runs and Farooq Engineer is at third place with 2611 runs.

Pant has made the record of scoring the fastest 2500 runs as a wicketkeeper in Test cricket for India, he has achieved this position in just 62 innings. Pant broke the record of former wicketkeeper MS Dhoni, who completed his 2500 Test runs in 69 innings.

Pant has reached sixth place in the list of players who have hit the most number of sixes as an Indian batsman in Test cricket, he has now hit 64 sixes in this format. Pant left Kapil Dev behind in this list, who has 61 sixes in his name in Test cricket.
