Ambulance workers reached to surround the residence of Deputy CM, he was admitted during the Corona period

Lucknow: Ambulance drivers and employees who reached Lucknow from Etawah surrounded the residence of Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak. The police reached the spot and removed them from the residence of the Deputy Chief Minister. Everyone was taken to Eco Garden, where the employees raised slogans. The ambulance drivers alleged that they were given jobs during the Corona epidemic. Many employees also lost their lives, but now they are being fired from their jobs.

The protest was held under the banner of Jeevandayini Health Department 108-102 Ambulance Employees Union. The protesters made several serious allegations against the private company, including dismissal from job, physical and mental exploitation. They raised slogans and appealed to the government to protect their interests. A memorandum of demands was also submitted to the Deputy CM. The protesting ambulance drivers said that around 20 thousand ambulance workers work under this company in the state. The company is physically and mentally exploiting the employees. The company is also deducting the maintenance money from the salaries of the employees. Those who protest are dismissed. Fake cases have also been registered against many ambulances.

Ambulance employees alleged that the company takes DD of 25 thousand and 45 thousand in the name of recruitment. The company also fired about 1000 people who protested. Employees said that 3 thousand employees who protested in 2021 were fired. So far the company has fired about 9 thousand people. Drivers say that the company has not compensated them for their services even after being fired. They have demanded respectable salary and job security from the government for their services.
