Ranchi: Congress Rajya Sabha MP Dheeraj Sahu and jailed former minister Alamgir Alam have been given important responsibility for the assembly elections to be held in Jharkhand. The Congress party has formed three important committees ahead of the 2024 assembly elections in Jharkhand. Keshav Mahato Kamlesh has been appointed as the chairman of the state election committee, which includes prominent members like Ajay Kumar, Rameshwar Oraon and Subodh Kant Sahay. The manifesto committee will be headed by Bandhu Tirkey, which will have 25 members, including Banna Gupta and Jai Prakash Gupta. Subodh Kant Sahay has also been made the chairman of the campaign committee, which includes leaders like Rameshwar Oraon and Alamgir Alam. These committees will direct the Congress' election campaign in the state as the elections are due in late 2024.
