The match between Tania Sachdev and Alice Lee also ended in a draw. After this, the entire responsibility fell on Vantika who did not disappoint and defeated a higher ranked opponent.

India in second place
India now has 15 points and will have to win both the last rounds to keep the gold medal hopes alive. Kazakhstan is on top with 16 points after defeating Poland 2.5-1.5. India is in second place and nine teams are in third place with 14 points.

In the next round, Kazakhstan will face Georgia and India will face China. In the open category, the Indian men's team played a draw with defending champion Uzbekistan. After eight consecutive wins, if India had won in the ninth round as well, the gold medal would have been assured.
