In the 21st match of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL 2024), Guyana Amazon Warriors faced St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in which the Warriors led by Imran Tahir defeated St Kitts and Nevis Patriots by 30 runs. In this match played at Providence Stadium in Guyana, Shimron Hetmyer emerged as the hero for the Warriors and played an important role in his team's victory by scoring 63 runs in just 33 balls on a difficult pitch.

In this 21st match, Warriors lost their first two wickets in the very first over due to which Hetmyer had to come to bat at the end of the first over. Hetmyer did not look in trouble even after losing two wickets early and started attacking the bowlers from the very beginning. He thrashed the Patriots bowlers and hit three sixes in an over to Ashmead Ned. You can see the video of these three sixes below.

Wickets kept falling at the other end, but Hetmyer kept playing and completed his half-century in just 26 balls. He hit five sixes in his innings and was eventually dismissed by Tabraiz Shamsi in the 12th over. After his wicket, the Warriors lost their rhythm for a while, but Shepherd came in and scored 34 runs off 22 balls to take the Warriors to a competitive score.

For the Patriots, Ashmead Nedd took four wickets and Shamsi also took two wickets. This was an important match for both the teams as the Warriors were playing their first match at home this season and after two consecutive defeats, they needed to get back on the winning track. On the other hand, the Patriots are at the bottom of the table and their condition got worse after this defeat.
