Congress will protest against objectionable comments about Rahul Gandhi: Mallikarjuna Kharge

Kharge said, “The Prime Minister ignores such provocative speeches of the BJP and the RSS.

Mallikarjuna Kharge News: Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Saturday said his party will not be intimidated by the “venomous mindset” of the RSS-BJP and will protest against the threats given to Rahul Gandhi.

He also accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of not taking action against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders who made objectionable statements against Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha.

“BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leaders, including MLAs and MPs, talk of cutting the tongues of our leaders. Rahul Gandhi is attacked for speaking the truth and an atmosphere of hatred is created against him, as was done against his grandmother Indira Gandhi,” Kharge said at a press conference in Jammu.

Kharge said, “The Prime Minister ignores such provocative speeches of the BJP and the RSS. He has failed to rein in these leaders and take action against them because he is afraid of them.”

Kharge, who arrived in Jammu to campaign for Congress candidates in the assembly elections, said that Rahul Gandhi is being termed as a 'terrorist' and 'anti-national'. He said that the Prime Minister is promoting such things and is provoking people by not taking action. (pti)
