Govinda’s wife Sunita is not a Hindu, she did this to drink alcohol, parents did not have any clue till date

This is none other than superstar Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja. While talking on the Timeout with Ankit podcast, Sunita has confessed to her religious conversion.

Govinda’s wife changed her religion to drink alcohol

Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja said that my mother is from Nepal and father is Punjabi. I was born in Bandra. I was baptized. I was in a Christian school where everyone was Christian. I had heard in my childhood that Jesus’ blood is wine. I thought wine means alcohol. Sunita told in the same interview that she goes to church every Saturday. Not only this, she believes in every religion. She likes to go to temples, gurudwaras, dargahs, everywhere.

Sunita Ahuja’s family had no clue

During this, when she was asked whether her parents had any problem with her decision to change her religion, she said that they never came to know about it. Sunita Ahuja told that she was weak in studies. In childhood, she used to feel sleepy as soon as she opened a book. She used to go to the tuition on the pretext of going to the bathroom and sleep there. Sunita told about her and Govinda’s first meeting that her sister was married to Govinda’s maternal uncle and she saw Govinda for the first time in this wedding. At that time she was in 9th class and Govinda was in the last year of B.Com. I saw him for the first time in this wedding.

Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja told that her brother-in-law had said that Govinda is a very simple man, who loves his mother very much. Brother-in-law also said that no girl can impress Govinda. I thought what is it that no girl can impress this boy. I told brother-in-law that I can do it. Then he challenged me to do so. Sunita was offered the lead role in Govinda’s first film but she refused.

Sunita said, on the day of the film’s muhurat, I, my brother and Govinda were travelling in a car together. My brother was sitting between us. When I put my hand on the headrest, I saw Govinda’s hand there too. I realised that he was trying to touch me and this is how our love affair started and then we got married.
