Rohit Sharma yelling at his teammate in the first test against Bangladesh, Video goes Viral

Rohit Sharma’s leadership style is quite differen from what Virat Kohli offered. While Kohli was very intense, Rohit, according to those who have played under him, often shows support by placing a hand on his teammates’ shoulders and guiding them. However, this doesn’t mean Rohit lacks intensity. He has his own way of communicating with his players. His well-known phrase, ‘garden mein ghoomne wala,’ which he used to encourage his fielders to show more intensity, became very popular.

During the first Test match against Bangladesh, Rohit was seen getting upset with a fielder. He said, ‘Oye, soye hue hai sab log’ (Everyone is sleeping). In the video that went viral, it’s not clear who Rohit Sharma was yelling at.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma had another tough time against Bangladesh, scoring only single-digit numbers in both innings of the first Test at Chennai’s MA Chidambram Stadium. In both of India’s innings, Rohit, known as the ‘Hitman,’ couldn’t maintain his good form across all formats, scoring just six and five runs. This is only the fourth time he has failed to score in double digits in both innings of a Test match.

In four Test matches and five innings against Bangladesh, Rohit has managed only 44 runs with an average of 8.80, and his highest score is just 21 runs.

His overall performance against Bangladesh, including all formats, is much better: he has scored 1,307 runs in 34 matches and 35 innings with an average of 40.84, including three centuries and eight fifties. His best score is 137.

In the current 2023-25 ICC World Test Championship, Rohit has scored 711 runs with an average of 41.82, including three centuries and three fifties, and his best score is 131.
