We frequently hear inspiring tales about actors and their struggle to fame. Their experiences encourage many and demonstrate that nothing is impossible. We’ll talk about one such female actor today who rose to stardom as one of India’s leading stars after cleaning floors and vomiting on the sets. Despite being the daughter of a filmmaker, she had her own share of struggles. She has appeared in multiple Bollywood hit movies and won multiple awards for her performances. She made a solid comeback to the entertainment industry with OTT shows and movies.

We are talking about the daughter of filmmaker Ravi Tandon and his wife Veena Tandon. Raveena Tandon had her share of hardships before becoming well-known in the profession, despite coming from a filmy background. In an interview with India Times, she revealed that she began by mopping vomit and sweeping floors. Yes, you read that right.

“I started by cleaning the studio floors to wiping off vomit from the stalls floors and studio floors and stuff, and I assisted Prahlad Kakkar, I think straight out of 10th Standard. Even at that time, they used to say what are you doing behind the screen? You have to be in front of the screen; that is what’s meant for you, and I would be like, ‘no, no, me, an actress? Never.’ So I am actually in this industry by default, never grew up thinking that I would be an actor, ” Raveena Tandon said.

She made her screen debut in Salman Khan’s Leaf Flowerswhich went on to become a box office hit and gave Raveena Tandon her big break, turning her into an instant sensation. Her subsequent movies did not do well at the box office, but Bangaru Bulloduher Telugu debut, tanked.

Ten films featuring Tandon were released in 1994, and most of them were commercially successful. Four of these films—stamp, Dilwale, Aatishand Laadla—were among the highest-grossing ones of that year. She never turned back after that and went on to give several hits and blockbusters, including Directory No.1, Gharwali Baharwali, Big husband small husband, player of players, Aunty No.1and The opposite.

With multiple hits under her belt, she rose to prominence in Bollywood throughout the 1990s and was among the highest-paid actresses of her era. Her years of experience paid off when she was honoured with the National Film Award for Best Actress, which she received for her role in Daman: A Victim of Marital Violencedirected by Kalpana Lajmi. She went on to do several hits and reasonably successful movies after this.

Known for her glitzy persona in the 90s, Raveena Tandon is currently selecting unique projects. She plays an antagonist in the Jatadhara. She played a grey shade character in KGF: Chapter 2 but in the supernatural thriller she will have the opportunity to appear as a totally different avatar. The movie is slated to release on the occasion of Mahashivratri in 2025. She will also be seen in the Welcome franchise, Welcome To The Jungle led by actor Akshay Kumar. The movie also stars Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Jacqueliene Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Aftab Shivdasani, and 34 more actors.
