This incident took place at Rajapur bridge under Sohagi police station area, where a father jumped into the Tamsa river along with his two children. A motorcycle was found abandoned on the bridge.

As soon as people came to know about a person jumping into the river, a huge crowd gathered on the bridge. The police was immediately informed about the incident after which the police of Sohagi police station reached the spot and the SDERF team was called from Rewa, after which a rescue operation is being carried out in the Tamsa river. The police have found the bike and mobile of the said person from the spot.

It is being told that Sunil Majhi, 31 years old, resident of village Para, who had taken a loan to run the group, was deeply in debt. He had also bought a pick-up vehicle on loan and was paying its installments. It is being told that the burden of the loan was so much that he could not bear it and took such a suicidal decision that he jumped into the Tamsa river along with his two children. The son’s age is said to be around 4 years and the daughter’s age is said to be 5 years.

Whatever may be the reason for the incident, but two innocent children had to suffer the consequences of such a decision of a father. Now the whole family is in mourning. The sad thing is that two innocent children who could not even live their childhood properly were killed before that.

According to the information received today, the bodies of the father and son who jumped into the river have been found, but the body of the daughter has not been found yet, which is being searched in the river by the SDERF rescue team. Currently, the police is searching for the daughter’s body in the river and is investigating the real reason behind the incident.
