I remembered the old days at Jantar Mantar

It feels great to be amongst you today. It feels great to be here at Jantar Mantar, I am reminded of the old days. I still remember. It was 4th April 2011, when the biggest anti-corruption movement of independent India started here from Jantar Mantar. For one and a half to two years, sometimes Jantar Mantar, sometimes Ramlila Maidan, the government of that time was arrogant. They used to challenge us to win the elections. We were small, we needed money for elections, we needed goons, we needed people. How could we fight, we had nothing. We contested the elections, the public made us win, and formed the Aam Aadmi Party government for the first time. We proved that elections can be fought honestly and can be won too.

He was running the government honestly for 10 years and provided facilities to the people

We fought elections honestly, we had no money and no men. We were running the government honestly for 10 years in Delhi and saving money. We provided such facilities that no one can imagine. We made bus fares free for women. We made pilgrimages free for the elderly, made treatment free, made education excellent. By hatching a conspiracy, these people put each of our leaders in jail. We came out of jail and after that I resigned. I resigned because I had not come to do corruption, I am not hungry for the power of the CM post. I had not come to earn money. I had come for the country, for Mother India, to change the politics of the country.

Earlier, in his address, former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said, 'People are sad that AK is no longer the CM. But people are also happy that Kejriwal has broken the bars of a dictator's prison. In the jail, I was told that your wife is ill and son is studying outside. They also confiscated Rs 10 lakh from my account. My son studies in college. I had to beg in front of people to pay his fees. Their attempt was to break me. When I did not break from outside, they tried to break me from inside. Look at their shamelessness, CBI said that Manish Sisodia took Kejriwal's name. I was told in the jail that look, Kejriwal has taken your name, you take his name and you will be saved. I used to tell him, you are trying to separate Laxman from Ram. No one in the world has the strength to separate Laxman from Ram. I have a 26-year-old friendship with Arvind Kejriwal. He is my political guru.
