New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education has postponed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2024 December session exam date. The CTET December 2024 exam is now scheduled to be conducted on December 15. Earlier, the CTET December session exam was dated to be held on December 1. Candidates can check more details on the CTET exam on the official website, ctet.nic.in. As per the board’s official notice, if the number of candidates is more in any of the cities, the exam will also be conducted on December 14.
CTET exam pattern
The CTET 2024 December exam will be held in two shifts. Shift 1 will start at 9:30 AM and will get over by 12 noon, while shift 2 will start at 2:30 PM and will be over by 5 PM. The CTET paper will have only multiple-choice questions (MCQs). As per the CTET exam marking scheme, for every correct answer, one mark will be awarded. There is no negative marking in the CTET exam.
This year for the December session exam, the board has reduced the number of exam centres to 132, In the July session exam, there were a total of 184 exam cities.
The CTET admit card 2024 will be issued by the board a week before the exam. Candidates will be able to download the CTET admit card using the necessary login credentials. Before the admit card, CBSE will release the CTET city intimation slip. Candidates must download the CTET admit card 2024 and take the printout of it to carry on the exam day. The details that are mentioned in the CTET exam admit include the name of the candidate, exam date, exam centre’s address, roll numbers of the candidate, exam day guidelines to follow and other necessary information.
