New Delhi. A case has been registered in Ayodhya's Nagar Kotwali against Samajwadi Party MP Awadhesh Prasad's son Ajit Prasad, making serious allegations against him. Ajit Prasad is accused of kidnapping, assaulting and threatening in the car. The police have registered this case on the complaint of the victim Ravi Kumar Tiwari. According to the complaint, Ajit Prasad and his associates kidnapped Ravi Tiwari by forcibly making him sit in the car and assaulted him on the way. The police have registered a case under crime number 528/2024, in which along with Ajit Prasad, the names of Raju Yadav, Srikant Rai and 10-15 unknown persons are also included. It is alleged that Ajit Prasad also threatened to kill the victim and also made a video to take back one lakh rupees.

Ajit Prasad may contest from Milkipur seat

It is believed that the Samajwadi Party may give a ticket to Ajit Prasad in the by-election to be held on the Milkipur seat of Ayodhya. His father Awadhesh Prasad, who was earlier an MLA from Milkipur, is currently an MP from Ayodhya-Faizabad. However, till now no official announcement has been made by the party in this regard.

SP's allegation: BJP is nervous

Reacting to this entire matter, Samajwadi Party leader Udayveer Singh said that this case is part of a political conspiracy in view of the Milkipur by-election. He alleged that the BJP, frightened by the growing popularity of Awadhesh Prasad, has registered this case by misusing the police and administration. Singh said that the BJP is misusing power and targeting politically active people. He also claimed that there should be an impartial investigation of this case, and action should be taken only if any facts come to light in the investigation.

BJP's response

At the same time, BJP leader Manish Shukla launched a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party and Ajit Prasad, saying that whenever the political power of the SP increases, their leaders are found involved in criminal activities. Shukla said that such incidents at a holy place like Ayodhya are highly condemnable, and the BJP government of Uttar Pradesh will ensure the implementation of the law, no matter who the accused is. Shukla also alleged that Akhilesh Yadav used to advocate for the release of terrorists while he was the Chief Minister, and now his MP's son has been accused of serious charges of extortion and assault. The police have registered an FIR, and strict action will be taken against the culprits.
