The Indian film industry has seen numerous individuals trying their luck. While some are complete outsiders, others, who are already singers or dancers, venture into Bollywood. One such individual is a renowned singer and music director who sought to try his hand at acting. Little did he know that his acting career would never take off, and despite his efforts and hard work, he couldn’t make a significant impact on the big screen. Fans were disappointed, and as a result, he returned to his original field. With over 1,300 songs to his credit as a music director, this singer has worked with actors such as Salman Khan, Esha Deol, Tusshar Kapoor, and others.

The singer in question is none other than Himesh Reshammiya. Himesh made his debut as a lead actor in the film Aap Ka Suroor, which was released in 2007. He shared the screen with Hansika Motwani in this movie. Himesh not only sang all the songs in the film but also composed its music. However, despite being made on a budget of Rs 9 crore, the film performed only averagely at the box office. Despite this setback, Himesh did not give up. Just a year later, he appeared in the late director Satish Kaushik’s film Karzzzz, a remake of the 1980 film Karz, with Himesh in the lead role.

The film was a huge flop, and the investors were unable to recover the money invested in its production. Following this box office disaster, Himesh continued to try his luck on the big screen. He was featured in several films including Radio, Kajraare, Damadamm!, The Xposé, Teraa Surroor, and Happy Hardy and Heer. Unfortunately, all these films met with the same fate.

Over the course of 13 years, Himesh Reshammiya has acted in around nine films, but luck has never been on his side, and none of his films have become box-office hits. Currently, Himesh is set to release another film titled Badass Ravi Kumar, where he will serve as both the lead actor and the director. The teaser for the film has already been released on YouTube. It will be interesting to see whether Himesh will be able to win over the audience or if this film will once again fail to make an impact at the box office.
