Nandini brand will take special measures to maintain the purity of ghee, GPS and electronic locking system will be installed in tankers

New Delhi: Andhra Pradesh's Tirupati temple is the center of a big controversy these days regarding the famous Laddu Prasadam. The Chandrababu Naidu government of the state made serious allegations against former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy that animal fat and fish oil were being mixed in the Laddu given as Prasadam in Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD). However, now the temple administration has restored the sanctity of this holy Prasadam. Meanwhile, the Nandini brand has talked about taking special measures to completely eliminate the possibility of adulteration in the ghee supplied to the temple.

Amidst the controversy over the purity of the Prasad, the TTD investigation revealed that AR Dairy had got the contract to supply ghee here at a rate of just Rs 320 per kg and the tender for Nandini Ghee was cancelled. Later in July, when adulteration was found in the ghee, Nandini Ghee was again given the contract at the rate of Rs 470 per kg.

'Nandini's' measures to maintain the purity of Ghee

To completely eliminate the possibility of adulteration in the ghee supplied to Tirupati temple, the Nandini brand has now said that it will take special measures. For this, the brand has planned to install GPS and electronic locking system in the tankers supplying ghee, so that the ghee cannot be tampered with during the journey. During the journey, Nandini's Bengaluru headquarters will monitor the tankers through GPS. The electronic locks installed in the tankers will also open only with the OTP issued by the headquarters. The brand has taken these steps to maintain the quality and reliability of its products.

Nandini is a trusted brand of dairy products in South India

It is worth noting that the Nandini brand is considered to be very reliable for dairy products in South India. Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam has also been using ghee of this brand for many years. Despite this, in the year 2020, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam stopped taking ghee from Nandini because AR Dairy got the contract to supply ghee at a price of just Rs 320 per kg and the tender for Nandini ghee was canceled. However, later in July, when adulteration was found in the ghee, Nandini ghee has again been given the contract at the rate of Rs 470 per kg. At present, after the heated controversy over the famous Laddu Prasadam of Tirupati, the temple administration now says that the sanctity of this holy prasad has been restored.
