Another big accident in Iran! 30 people died and many injured due to methane gas leak

Tehran: At least 30 people were killed and a large number of people were injured in an explosion caused by a methane gas leak in a coal mine in eastern Iran. Iran's state media gave this information in a news today i.e. on Sunday.

The state news agency 'IRNA' reported in a report that the accident took place late Saturday night in a coal mine located in Tabas, about 335 kilometers southeast of the capital Tehran, in which 30 people were killed. It said that the authorities have sent emergency workers to the site of the incident. About 70 people were working in the mine at the time of the accident.

On the incident, Iran's new reformist President Masoud Pezeshkian, who is currently leaving for New York for the United Nations General Assembly, said that he has ordered every possible effort to rescue the trapped people and help their families. Along with this, he also said that an investigation into the incident has started. Oil producing Iran is also rich in various types of minerals.

Let us tell you that in the year 2013, 11 workers were killed in two separate mining incidents. In the year 2009, about 20 workers were killed in several incidents. Similarly, in the year 2017, at least 42 people died in an explosion in a coal mine.
