Shakib, who is struggling with poor form, got the support of captain Shanto, he said this big thing for the experienced all-rounder

Bangladesh’s star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has not been able to perform well for some time. He also failed to perform well in the first Test match against India. Due to this, he is being criticized and his place in the team is being questioned. However, Bangladeshi captain Najmul Hossain Shanto has supported Shakib.

Shanto said, “Honestly, as a captain, I look at how hard a player is working on his game. Is he fighting enough to come back, what is his intention towards the team and how much is he willing to give to the team. More than whether he is scoring runs or not, I look at how his preparation is. What is he thinking about the team. I am happy with the way each member of this Test team has prepared and is ready to give to the team.”

The Bangladeshi captain further said, “Shakib’s finger was taped. His finger was bleeding since the last time he hit the ball. I don’t feel comfortable talking about the individual performance of any player. It is a team game and winning the game is possible only with the contribution of the entire team. Overall, we all should have contributed more. I am not worried about individual performance.”

Shakib scored 32(64) in the first innings and 25(56) in the second innings of the first test match played against India. While bowling, he could not take a single wicket. Talking about the first test match, India batted first and scored 376 runs in the first innings, in response to which Bangladesh’s first innings was all out at a score of 149 and India got a lead of 227 runs. India declared the second innings at a score of 287/4. In this way, Bangladesh got a target of 515 runs to win the match. However, Bangladesh collapsed at a score of 234 in the second innings and India won the match by 280 runs.
