Make spicy Lobia vegetable in this new way: a special recipe

Lobia, which some people also call black gram, is very beneficial for health and is rich in protein. Material:

– 1 cup black eyed peas (soaked overnight)

– 2 onions (finely chopped)

– 3 tomatoes (made into a paste)

– 2 green chillies (finely chopped)

– 1 inch ginger (grated)

– 4-5 cloves of garlic (crushed)

– 1 teaspoon cumin

– 1 tsp coriander powder

– 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

– 1 teaspoon red chilli powder

– 1 tsp chaat masala

– 1/2 teaspoon garam masala

– Salt to taste

– 2 teaspoons oil or ghee

– Green coriander for garnishing

Method:

1. Cooking the Lobia:

Cook the beans soaked overnight in a pressure cooker with some salt until 2-3 whistles. Make sure that the beans become soft but do not melt completely.

2. Preparing the spicy base:

Now heat oil or ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds and when the cumin seeds start crackling, add finely chopped onions. Fry the onions till they turn light golden. After this add ginger and garlic and fry well. Now add tomato paste and spices (coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder) and cook the spices till the oil separates.

3. Adding Lobia to Spices:

Now add the cooked Lobia to this spice and mix well. Cover and cook on low flame for some time so that the Lobia absorbs the full flavour of the spices. During this, add Chat Masala and Garam Masala so that the vegetable becomes even more spicy. If needed, you can also add a little amount of water.

4. Final step:

After cooking for 10-12 minutes, your spicy Lobia sabzi will be ready. Garnish it with green coriander and serve hot.

How to serve:

You can serve this spicy Lobia vegetable with roti, paratha or rice. A little curd and green chilli pickle will enhance the taste of the food even more.

Adding chaat masala and garam masala to this recipe makes it even more interesting and spicy. Also, the mixture of onion and tomato makes it thick and tasty. If you want to experiment a little more, you can also add boiled potatoes to it, which will make the vegetable even more rich.
